CANCELATION POLICY

If you cancel within 24 hours of tour date you will incur a 100% cancellation fee. All cancellations will incur a loss of the total booking fee.

 

If we need to cancel due to poor or unsafe weather conditions on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, we offer a transfer of your ticket to another day of your choice or a full refund.

 

We reserve the right to cancel at short notice. If we arrive at the start point and there is a change in the weather, we may cancel due to safety reasons. In this instance we offer a transfer of your ticket to another day that suits you or a full refund.

 

Where you are entitled to a refund, the refund will be made to the same credit card that you used to confirm the booking.

 

You must inform us of your decision of a transfer or a refund. You will lose any booking fees or credit card fees with all refund options.

 

NO SHOWS

MORNINGS, No refunds or credit will be provided if you fail to check in at the confirmed departure location with the appropriate vouchers issued for that booking on the day and/or time booked.

 

If you are late we will attempt to get you on the next available shuttle if there is availability. NO GUARANTEES.

 

AFTERNOON RETURN CUSTOMERS ONLY:

We will pick you up in the afternoon from the end (Ketetahi) to return you back to your original pick up point. Afternoon pick up times are 2 pm, 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm so all you need to do is wait for any of these times.

When the shuttle arrives, check in and board as we cannot come and find you among 1000s of people.

 

If you are late for the afternoon pick up due to reasons within your control you will be charged a $25 late fee SO if you require extra time on the track you must book an early shuttle.

 

CONDITIONS

You must confirm your pick up point.

 

You must prepare yourself for conditions on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We may refuse to let you on the shuttle if you are not wearing the right foot wear or you are not adequately prepared for alpine conditions. *Please refer to our checklist.

 

We offer 100% refund on emergency ponchos that are returned unused. We would rather you take it and not need it, than need it and not take it.

 

Please be waiting out on the road side at least 10 minutes before the bus is due so that you do not miss the bus.

The shuttle may arrive at your pick up point up to 10 minutes early if there are a number of different pick up points on the day in order to depart that town/location on time.

We will not wait! If you miss the bus there is no refund.

 

We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances

 

WEATHER

We go by the Met Service weather report which at times is not accurate.

We do not take responsibility for a change in the weather forecast.

If you decide to turn back to return to the start you must call us immediately.
